Thread: Coroner reports...kid did shoot himself while handcuffed..

Coroner reports...kid did shoot himself while handcuffed..

The tricky part is that unlike the police first reported the coroner claims that he shot himself in the chest...while his hands were cuffed behind him in the cruiser. Pretty impressive feat.

A conservative would argue he could have shot himself and then was cuffed.

A kid shot himself in the chest while handcuffed behind his back? All with a gun the police managed to not find while cuffing and searching him. I find that a little hard to believe.
I also have never heard of a department issuing .45's to its officers. Maybe that is common practice but I thought police were usually issued lower caliber weapons in order to help protect innocent bystanders.

It's up to the individual agency. The New Smyrna Police Department in Florida issues .45 ACPs to its officers and .45 ACP carbines are in the squad cars as opposed to the shotguns you see in most agencies.
