The Daily Nole — May 15, 2018: FSU Men’s Golf in Sixth After One Round of NCAA Action

It’s Tuesday, Florida State fans. As your day chugs along, keep it here for the latest in FSU athletics. The news and notes section of this post will be updated throughout the day.

Lead Story

After one round of the NCAA Tournament, Florida State’s men’s golf team is on the outside looking in.

The Seminoles finished Monday in a tie for sixth place in Norman at +5. FSU is three strokes back of fifth-place San Diego State. Oklahoma leads overall at -5 with Auburn, Arkansas and North Florida all tied for second at an even par.

Pacing FSU through the first day are Corey Carlson and John Pak, who are both at even par. Blaine Hale of Oklahoma leads overall at -5.

The second round of the 3-round NCAA Regional resumes on Tuesday. The top five teams will advance to the NCAA Championships.
