It’s Sunday, Florida State fans. As you watch your weekend wind down, keep it here for the latest in FSU athletics. The news and notes section of this post will be updated throughout the day.

Lead Story

Florida State’s second-leading scorer and leading rebounder is doubtful for Sunday’s NCAA Tournament contest against top-seeded Xavier.

FSU head coach Leonard Hamilton told reporters Saturday that junior slasher Terance Mann is unlikely to play in the second round of the tournament. Mann was taken back to the locker room twice in Friday’s 67-54 win over Missouri with a groin injury.

For the season, Mann is averaging 12.8 points, which ranks behind only Phil Cofer among Seminoles, on 56 percent shooting and a team-high 5.6 rebounds per game. Mann has led FSU in both categories for much of the season, but finished with just two points and without a field goal on Friday.

The Seminoles were able to win without Mann, who was nursing a concussion, in a 101-90 double-overtime win over Syracuse at home on Jan. 13. Sunday’s contest begins at 8:40 p.m. EST and airs on TNT.
