One day after the Florida State men learned they would be playing in the NCAA Tournament, the FSU women learned their fate on Monday night.

The Seminoles will be part of the Albany Region as a No. 3 seed and play the first two games in Tallahassee. The appearance in the NCAA Tournament is the sixth straight for FSU and the 13th in 14 years.

FSU opens the tournament against 14th-seeded Arkansas-Little Rock on Saturday. The winner of that contest will face the winner of No. 6 seed South Florida and 11th-seeded Buffalo.

FSU enters the tournament with a record of 25-6. The Seminoles earned the No. 3 seed in the ACC Tournament before being ousted by Notre Dame in the semifinals.

FSU reached the Elite Eight last season before falling to eventual national runner-up South Carolina. FSU hasn’t lost in the first round since the tournament expanded to 64 teams.
