FSU and Wake Forest to Play Doubleheader on Saturday

Florida State’s 3-game series in Winston-Salem this weekend is still expected to be three games, but those games will be played in two days.

The Seminoles and Demon Deacons will play a doubleheader on Saturday rather than conclude the series on Sunday. The first of the two games on Saturday is set to begin at 2 p.m. EST.

The change is a result of expected inclement weather. Friday’s contest will be played at 6 p.m. EST as scheduled. All three contests will air on ACC Network Extra.

For FSU, it is the second scheduling change in less than a week. The recent 2-game midweek series with Kansas, originally scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, was moved up to Monday and Tuesday.

The 3-game set in Winston-Salem will begin ACC play for both Florida State and Wake. FSU is 13-0 and ranked third nationally. The Demon Deacons are just 5-8, but took two of three from Florida State in Tallahassee last season.
