As reported by Josh Newberg of 247Sports on Wednesday, at least one Florida State legend has an interest in returning to coach.

Per the report, Deion Sanders is interested in joining new head coach Willie Taggart’s staff as defensive backs coach. Sanders was a Consensus All-American at FSU and finished his career with 14 interceptions and six touchdowns.

As a senior in 1988, Sanders became the first Florida State player to win the Jim Thorpe Award. The second Seminole to take home that honor, Terrell Buckley, also has interest in coming to Tallahassee. Buckley has coached at Mississippi State the last two seasons.

FSU women’s basketball defeated Jacksonville on Thursday night, 82-50.
