It’s Friday, Florida State fans. As the weekend nears, keep it for the latest in FSU athletics. The news and notes section of this post will be updated throughout the day.

Lead Story

The match-up has long been set, but there is now a start time and network.

The Nov. 10, 2018 contest in South Bend between Florida State and Notre Dame will begin at 7:30 p.m. EST and will air on NBC, it was announced Thursday. Among the four games with dates set in stone for FSU in 2018, this is the first to be given a start time.

The contest will be FSU’s first trip to Notre Dame since 2003 when the Seminoles won, 37-0. The last meeting came in Tallahassee in 2014 with FSU coming out on top, 31-27, thanks to an offensive pass interference call that negated the late go-ahead touchdown for the Fighting Irish.

Between the Lines

FSU women’s hoops easily defeated Stetson on Thursday night, 84-39.

On the Agenda

There are no FSU athletic events scheduled for Friday.

News and Notes

FSU’s Derwin James was named a second-team All-American by Walter Camp Football Foundation.
