Happy Thanksgiving, Florida State fans. As you enjoy a nice day with your family and friends, occasionally check back here for the latest in FSU athletics. The news and notes section of this post will be updated throughout the day.

Lead Story

If Florida State is to win its final two games and become bowl-eligible, it will have to do so without a key reserve along the offensive line.

Redshirt junior Brock Ruble will likely miss contests with Florida and Louisiana-Monroe with a knee injury, head coach Jimbo Fisher said during his call-in show Wednesday night. Others along the offensive front such as center Baveon Johnson, tackle Jauan Williams and starters Landon Dickerson and Derrick Kelly have all missed time this season.

Ruble has appeared in all 10 games this season for the Seminoles, seeing time at both guard and tackle. Ruble was listed as the primary backup for multiple positions. He has not started a game this season despite doing so in each of the previous two years.

Between the Lines

FSU basketball defeated Kennesaw State on Wednesday afternoon, 98-79. FSU volleyball took down Clemson in straight sets.

On the Agenda

There are no FSU athletic events scheduled for Thursday.

News and Notes

FSU hoops signee Devin Vassell was named MVP of the Tabo’s Tip-Off Classic.
