Happy hump day, Florida State fans. As your day goes along, keep it here for the latest in FSU athletics. The news and notes section of this post will be updated throughout the day.

Lead Story

Florida State redshirt sophomore Derwin James’ 2017 season hasn’t had as much impact as some would have guessed, but James has still done enough to catch the eye of the Associated Press.

James was named a second-team All-American on the entity’s midseason team. James was the only FSU player to make the list and among eight from the ACC.

For the season, James has a team-high 29 total tackles, including 1.5 for loss and four pass break-ups. James and the Seminole defense should have their hands full this week as they host Louisville and reigning Heisman Trophy winner, Lamar Jackson.

Between the Lines

On the Agenda

FSU women’s golf wraps up the Stanford Intercollegiate on Wednesday.
