  • Among teams that were members of the ACC when Florida State joined in 1992, Duke is the only one never to beat the Seminoles. FSU leads the series, 19-0.
  • Duke and Pittsburgh are the only ACC Coastal division opponents that FSU has never lost to under head coach Jimbo Fisher.
  • FSU’s first win as a member of the ACC came over Duke on Sept. 5, 1992 by a 48-21 score.
  • Duke’s last lead over Florida State was 6-0 in the 2001 season-opener.
  • FSU is one of three ACC teams that Duke has not defeated under head coach David Cutcliffe. The other two are Clemson and Louisville.
  • FSU has won eight straight games in the state of North Carolina with the most recent coming two weeks ago at Wake Forest. The last loss came to N.C. State in 2012.
  • Under Fisher, FSU has not lost to two Coastal division opponents during the same regular season. The Seminoles did lose to North Carolina in 2010 and then to Virginia Tech in the ACC Championship.
  • Under Fisher, FSU is 16-6 against the ACC Coastal and 8-1 on the road. The lone road loss came to Georgia Tech in 2015.
  • Duke’s last win over a Florida school came against Miami in 2013.
  • FSU has not started 1-4 since 1975 — the year before Bobby Bowden became head coach.
  • In addition to Tallahassee and Durham, FSU and Duke have played games in Orlando, Jacksonville and Charlotte.
