The Daily Nole — Sept. 20, 2017: FSU Volleyball Falls to Florida

Happy hump day, Florida State fans. As your weekend draws nearer, keep it here for the latest in FSU athletics. The news and notes section of this post will be updated throughout the day.

Lead Story

In the first volleyball meeting since Florida State ended Florida’s season, the Gators were entirely too much for FSU.

Florida swept FSU in straight sets, 25-21, 25-15, 25-12 on Tuesday night to improve to 8-0. Florida’s Carli Snyder led Florida with 12 kills to go along with 12 digs. Milica Kubura finished with 13 kills to lead FSU.

With the loss, FSU fell to 6-2 on the season. The Seminoles will open ACC play at home against Virginia on Friday.

Between the Lines

FSU’s volleyball loss to Florida was the only scheduled athletic event for Tuesday.

On the Agenda

There are no FSU athletic events scheduled for Wednesday.

The Miami Dolphins have suspended former FSU linebacker Lawrence Timmons indefinitely.

FSU’s David Barney and Militsa Mircheva were each named ACC Cross Country Performers of the Week.
