It’s Monday, Florida State fans, and for many of us, that means back to the old grind. As you get back to it, keep it here for the latest in FSU athletics. The news and notes section of this post will be updated throughout the day.

Lead Story

Florida State soccer’s 36-match home unbeaten streak came to a crashing halt on Sunday as the Seminoles fell to North Carolina in a match-up of top 20 teams, 1-0.

The lone goal in the contest came from North Carolina’s Dorian Bailey in the 58th minute. FSU goalkeeper Cassie Miller finished with six saves as the Tar Heels outshot the Seminoles, 12-8. Samanthan Leshnak made four saves for North Carolina.

With the loss, FSU not only watches its home unbeaten streak go by the wayside, but it falls to 5-2 on the year and 0-1 in ACC play. The Seminoles will be in action again on Thursday at Louisville.

Between the Lines

In addition to soccer on Sunday, FSU men’s golf finished the Olympia Fields Invitational in sixth place.

On the Agenda

There are no FSU athletic events scheduled for Monday.
