It’s Sunday, Florida State fans. As you wrap up your weekend, keep it here for the latest in FSU athletics. We update the news and notes section throughout the day.

EDITOR’S NOTE: Due to technical difficulties, The Daily Nole was down most of the day on Saturday. We have resolved the problem and appreciate your patience.

Lead Story

The odds of anyone not named Alec Eberle playing center for Florida State appears slim.

According to a report from Tomahawk Nation, redshirt freshman center Baveon Johnson will miss the 2017 season with a meniscus issue. Johnson underwent surgery earlier in the week, according to the report.

With Johnson done for the year, Eberle will likely be backed up by Andrew Boselli, a redshirt freshman and the son of former All-Pro tackle Tony Boselli. The Seminoles open the year in Atlanta against Alabama on Sept. 2.

Between the Lines

There were no FSU athletic events scheduled for Saturday.

On the Agenda

FSU soccer will host South Alabama at 1 p.m. EST on Sunday.

News and Notes

FSU guard Braian Angola-Rodas will play for the Colombian national team in the Four Nation’s Tournament and the FIBA AmeriCup.
