It’s Tuesday, Florida State fans. As your day goes on, keep it here for the latest in FSU athletics. The news and notes section of this post will be updated throughout the day.

Lead Story

Early odds show Florida State as an underdog to Alabama for the Sept. 2 opener in Atlanta.

According to Bovada, the Crimson Tide are currently 7-point favorites. The line comes as little surprise, given Alabama’s success, particularly in openers under head coach Nick Saban.

Saban’s only meeting against FSU however, resulted in a 21-14 loss during his first season in Tuscaloosa back in 2007. FSU head coach Jimbo Fisher was in his first season as the Seminoles’ offensive coordinator at the time.

Between the Lines

There were no FSU athletic events scheduled for Monday.
