Lead Story

In two days, Florida State’s 2019 football recruiting class has gone from a top 5 class to the No. 1 class in the country, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.

The Seminoles managed that with a pair of blue-chip prospects in two days. On Friday, FSU received a commitment from Akeem Dent, a 5-star and the nation’s No. 1 cornerback. On Saturday, it was 4-star Texas prospect Jalen Curry pledging his services.

Prior to Friday, FSU was fourth in the composite behind Florida, Georgia and LSU. The Seminoles have since surpassed those three schools.
