Florida State’s college baseball season didn’t end in a title, but it was one where the Seminoles overcame early-season struggles to win the ACC and reach the College World Series for the first time in five years.

Unfortunately for FSU, it was rival Florida who claimed college baseball’s ultimate prize. Still, the Seminoles had a solid season in the grand scheme of things and the final polls reflect that.

In the final Baseball America Poll, FSU finished No. 6 after being 15th at the end of the ACC Tournament. Florida topped the poll, followed by LSU, Oregon State, TCU and Louisville. FSU also finished No. 6 in the NCBWA Poll after previously being ranked 10th.

The Collegiate Baseball and D1Baseball.com Polls also both had FSU sitting at No. 6 in its final poll.

FSU went 6-1 in the Tallahassee Regional and Super Regional rounds before going 1-2 in Omaha with a pair of losses to LSU. Florida State finishes the season with a record of 46-23.
