Just hours after beating North Carolina 7-3 to win its seventh ACC Championship and second conference crown in three years, Florida State learned it would be hosting an NCAA Regional. It now knows who will join it at Dick Howser Stadium.

The Seminoles will be the No. 1 seed in the Tallahassee Regional, which begins on Friday, and their first opponent will be fourth-seeded Tennessee Tech. The Golden Eagles earned an automatic bid after finishing the season 40-19 and winning the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament.

The other two teams will be No. 2 seed UCF and third-seeded Auburn. Those two teams will face one another on Friday afternoon. UCF comes in with a record of 40-20 while the Tigers are 35-24. The Knights were 0-2 in two games against FSU this season. Auburn received an at-large bid after getting shut out by Arkansas in the SEC Tournament.

The double-elimination Tallahassee Regional will last until at least Sunday and could go through Monday. As regional hosts, FSU has gone a perfect 3-0 in each of the last two seasons. The Seminoles were 23-12 at Howser Stadium this season.

The winner of the Tallahassee Regional will move on to the best-of-three NCAA Super Regionals to face the winner of the Lubbock Regional. That regional includes No. 5 national seed Texas Tech, Arizona, Sam Houston State and Delaware.
