ACC Champ FSU Returns to the Baseball Polls

Last week, three of the four weekly baseball polls tracked by The Daily Nole had Florida State unranked. After a 4-0 week that included wins over the ACC’s top two teams and a conference championship, that stands to change.

In the Baseball America Poll, FSU moves from being unranked to No. 15. In a 6-game span, the Seminoles have four wins over teams ranked in the top 6 of that poll.

FSU ran through the ACC Tournament last week, topping Notre Dame, Louisville, Duke and finally North Carolina for the ACC title. Entering the NCAA Tournament, FSU has won six straight games and 12 of 14 overall. Florida State is 39-20 on the year.

In the Collegiate Baseball Poll, FSU climbed from the unranked to No. 18. The Seminoles go from unranked to 16th in the D1Baseball.com Poll.

The NCBWA Poll was the only poll where the Seminoles were ranked last week. Florida State moves up nine spots in that poll this week from 27th to No. 18.
