D1baseball.com released its preseason All-American teams on Monday. Florida State wasn’t represented on the first team, but had two players selected as second-teamers.

Shortstop Taylor Walls and catcher Cal Raleigh were each named second-team selections. Walls was a first-team All-American selection by Baseball America last season and finished the year hitting .355 with six home runs and 46 RBIs from his lead-off spot.

Raleigh was a Freshman All-American last season, according to several publications. The now sophomore catcher hit third in the FSU order for most of the year before finishing with a .301 average, 10 home runs and 50 RBIs.

As a team, FSU finished 41-22 a season ago before losing in the decisive game of the Gainesville Super Regional. FSU opens the 2017 season on Feb. 17 against Virginia Commonwealth.
