Florida State is just four days away from beginning its quest for a fourth straight ACC championship and the coaches in the conference expect the Seminoles to do just that.

After a 55-10 season last year that ended in extra innings in the semifinals of the Women’s College World Series, FSU was picked overwhelmingly by the ACC’s 11 coaches to win the conference. The Seminoles received 10 of a possible 11 first-place votes with the other going to Louisville.

Florida State returns a pair of All-ACC pitchers in Jessica Burroughs and Meghan King to go along with a stacked offensive lineup that includes speedy Morgan Klaevemann, third baseman Jessica Warren and reigning ACC Player of the Year, Alex Powers.

The Seminoles, who rank third nationally in the polls, will begin the season on Friday at home for the Unconquered Invitational. FSU will open the year against Lipscomb and then Furman.
