FSU Recruiting: Cowan Flips to Alabama

While the Florida State spring game brought a lot of positives for the Seminoles on Saturday, they did get some bad news shortly after.

While taking a visit to Tuscaloosa, 4-star linebacker VanDarius Cowan has flipped his commitment from Florida State to reigning national champion Alabama. A Palm Beach Gardens High School product, Cowan committed to FSU in late December.

According to 247Sports, Cowan is the No. 78 ranked recruit in the country and the No. 5 outside linebacker. Cowan was one of six players committed to FSU for 2017.
