Florida State guards Dwayne Bacon and Malik Beasley were among 29 players named Kyle Macy Freshman All-Americans on Wednesday.

Bacon and Beasley ranked first and second for FSU in both scoring and rebounding. Bacon led the team, averaging 15.8 points and 5.8 boards per contest while Beasley wasn’t far behind, averaging 15.6 points and 5.3 rebounds.

The two freshmen were key components for the Seminoles, who won 20 games for a ninth time in 14 seasons under head coach Leonard Hamilton. Beasley declared for the NBA Draft last month, but Bacon announced he would return for a sophomore season after briefly considering doing likewise.

Bacon and Beasley were the highest scoring freshman duo in the country and one of the top scoring freshman tandems in the history of the ACC during the 2015-16 season. Some publications have ranked the Seminoles in the top 25 for next season.
